    Born on March 20, 1945 in Yixing, Jiangsu, Chu Junhao is an infrared and semiconductor physicist and device expert. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Dean of the School of Science, Donghua University. He does research in infrared optoelectronic materials and devices, and focuses on the material physics of HgCdTe and ferroelectric thin films and their application in infrared detectors. He proposed the CXT formula that describes the width of forbidden band of HgCdTe. It is widely cited and proved with experiments. He established the theoretical model for the two-dimensional electron gas band structure of the narrow band gap semiconductor MIS devices, and discovered the fundamental photoelectric transition characteristics of HgCdTe. He made clear the photoelectric material discrimination criteria for research in ferroelectric thin film material physics and uncooled infrared detectors, and successfully developed the PZT and BST ferroelectric thin film uncooled infrared detectors for thermal imaging.

    Jiang Lijun is currently the deputy general manager of Zhejiang Dali Technology Co., Ltd. and general manager of Hangzhou Dali Microelectronics Co., Ltd. He has long been engaged in the research of infrared focal plane detector, and has completed the development and industrialization of many uncooled infrared detectors. He undertook a number of major national science and technology projects, and was the first in China to develop uncooled detectors with 1 million pixel and 2 million pixel resolutions.

  • Yanqiu Lyu

    Lyu Yanqiu was born in Wenshang, Shandong, and is now a professor and director of the Institute of Optoelectronic Devices, China Air-Air Missile Research Academy, China Aviation Industry Group. He is the Office Director of the Key National Laboratory of Infrared Detector in Aerospace Technology. He is a “leading young talent of CAIC” in photoelectric detection and confrontation technology. He is a member of the Expert Group of the Luminescent Electronics. In 2007, he graduated with a doctorate and the "Dean's Award" from the State Key Laboratory of Sensor Technology, Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has presided over development projects, international cooperation projects, device and algorithm development, NNSF projects and Group Innovation projects concerning multiple missile detectors. His research mainly involves antimony and dual-color detectors. He was authorized 15 invention patents, published more than 30 papers, including more than 20 papers indexed in SCI and EI, and won second-class achievement prizes of the CAIC Group for two times.

    Lu Wei was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang. He graduated from the Physics Department of Fudan University with a bachelor's degree in 1983. In 1988, he obtained a Ph.D. from the State Key Laboratory of Infrared Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1989, as a von Humboldt scholar, he was engaged in the research of solid spectroscopy at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany. From July 1997 to August 1997 and from July 1998 to August 1998, he was a visiting professor at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He was a visiting professor at the Australian National University from June 1999 to July 1999. From August 2002 to September 2002, he was a visiting professor at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. From September 2003 to October 2003, he was a visiting professor at the Humboldt University of Berlin. He also serves as the chairman of the Shanghai Venus Star Association and a standing committee member of the Shanghai Physical Society. His research mainly involves optoelectronics, semiconductor physics and solid-state spectroscopy. He has done research in optoelectronic materials and devices, related condensed matter physics, and the application of photonic crystals in optoelectronic technology. He published over 150 SCI-indexed papers; and was authorized more than 40 national invention patents. He published a monograph: "Semiconductor Quantum Device Physics".

    Liu Dafu is the deputy director and CPC secretary of the Component Technology Research Group, general manager of Wuxi Zhongke Dexin Optoelectronic Sensing Technology Institute Co., Ltd. He has been engaged in the research and development of photoelectric detectors. As the head of infrared detector component research, he has participated in many major national projects and special projects, such as the Fengyun series and Tiangong-2 satellites. As the deputy chief designer, he is responsible for the research and development of infrared components and indium gallium arsenide spectrum detectors for Ocean One.

    Wu Guojin graduated from Peking University with a master’s degree in International Politics. He is responsible for the overall business strategy planning, product specification, project implementation and long-term strategic positioning of Shanghai Magnity.
    He has been engaged in the research on spaceborne infrared hyperspectral and polarization detection and high-precision radiation and spectral calibration. He also did research in the application of remote sensing big data and cloud platform; he served as the design-in-charge of the infrared hyperspectral atmospheric sounder of the Fengyun No. 3 meteorological satellite, and oversaw the development of key technology, engineering and on-orbit applications of the infrared hyperspectral atmospheric sounder of Fengyun No. 3. The instruments he developed was of international level.
    Mingjian Gu was responsible for the development of a number of secondary infrared hyperspectral atmospheric sounders of Fengyun III (03), and undertook the plausibility study of multiple observation instruments, on-board processing and remote sensing applications of the infrared hyperspectral sounder of Fengyun V.
    He participated in the development of many satellite models of the manned spacecraft Shenzhou 3, Tiangong 2 and Fengyun 3. The projects he undertook won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2004, the second prize of Military Science and Technology Progress Award in 2004 and 2009, and the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award. Personally, he was awarded Outstanding Individual of Manned Spaceflight Research by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004.
